Growing up in a big, historical European city like Budapest definitely helped forming my personality and planted seeds to my endless love of "classic European" things such as museums, parks, cafes, big fancy bookstores, inner-city rivers and the list goes on and on. When I moved to Tel Aviv about 6 years ago, even though these two cities could not be more different from one another, the transition was surprisingly smooth (more on this later). In an ideal world, I would live in a city with beautiful 19th century architecture, more theaters than cinemas, top hats and walking sticks as the ultimate accessories for men and a big sandy beach...naturally.
One of my friends, who still lives in Budapest, sent me this
video, which made me happy (
Pharrell will be glad to hear) and nostalgic in the same time. It's just such a great and fun city that I know I'll always call home.
Where are you guys from? Do you still live in the same place? If yes, which one do you call home?
